What to Expect for Your Baby

First Visits

At the initial visit, Dr. Nicole will have a conversation with you to understand your baby’s issues, answer all questions, and perform a thorough exam. If Dr. Nicole diagnoses your baby with a lip or tongue tie, she will schedule a second appointment for the frenectomy procedure. At the second appointment, Dr. Nicole will use a CO2 laser to quickly dissolve the extra tissue. In some cases, treatment is rendered the same day.

What to Expect for Kids & Adults

First Visits

We’ll schedule you or your child for an initial consult to determine if you have a lip or tongue tie. During this appointment, we will perform a thorough exam and answer all of your questions. If diagnosed, Dr. Nicole will then guide you through a series of myofunctional therapy exercises that be needed to ensure the success of the frencectomy procedure.

Once myofunctional therapy is completed, she’ll schedule your frenectomy procedure.

Tethered Oral Tissues

We understand that getting a frenectomy isn’t always the most exciting thing in the world. That’s why we aim to make our office as inviting, caring, and fun as possible — both for you and your child.

Tools & Technology

CO2 Deka Laser

Unlike traditional scalpel tools, the Deka CO2 laser allows Dr. Nicole to remove you or your child’s tissue with unmatched precision and comfort. The laser emits a hyper-focused beam of light, which literally dissolves the lip or tongue tie. This leaves patients with significantly less swelling and bleeding.
